Career Services and the Office of Community Engagement and Service are pleased to announce summer internship awards for Miami students who intern/work with a nonprofit / social welfare / social service organization or in other service capacities.

Please note: You may apply for both awards, if qualified, but only one award will be awarded per person.

Jack & Karen Horrell Internship Award

Jack (BS in Business, 1973) and Karen Horrell have generously established a $1,000 Award for a Miami student who interns this summer in a non-paying internship with a nonprofit / social welfare / social service organization.

Miami Community Engagement & Service Scholars Award

Miami Community Engagement & Service Scholars are encouraged to expand their service work and personal citizenship development by engaging in summer service. You will have the opportunity to receive a $1,000 Education Award per summer of service and earn a $2,000 stipend each summer.
